Hi Everyone -
I picked up a 2023 Calligraphy over the weekend and installed a hitch for a bike rack. With the bike rack on the vehicle, it seems that every time I go into reverse, I need to manually press the "P" Button on the console to turn off the emergency braking. If I turn it off and restart the vehicle, it defaults back to on.
Is this what everyone else experiences? Any way to permanently disable the active braking?
It does seem that some of the system settings are a bit 'glitchy' as I've made the setting to turn off audible warning but it still does gives an audible warning when backing up. There is also a setting called "Parking Distance Warning Auto On" - I thought If I unchecked that box that maybe it would keep the system from coming back on.
Any help on this would be appreciated!
Love the vehicle...Thanks in Advance to anyone with suggestions!

Mine only does that if I don't have my seat belt on. That is on my 2020 palisade

Thank you for the response! I've tested it while buckled and the same result. Seems that the Emergency braking resets itself every time the car is started. I don't know what the system setting for Parking Distance Warning Auto On actually does ... was hoping it kept the system permanently off but that doesn't seem to be the case. Bummer.
