I just took my first road trip
I drove best as I could to see what I could get out MPG 29.2
78 miles some 79mph on interstate then 64 mph
I guess that’s the best I can expect
Anyway the Smart cruise os excellent except I thought about being bad and what if I put a rubber ball in the steering wheel so I would have to hold on all the time
I bought two I took off and stuck it in between the wheel to put pressure on and it seems to work
But them again ask me to grab the wheel so if must need pressure from the outside to
Next I am going try a zip tie
I let you know what happens

This isn't a self-driving car. There's a reason the system doesn't allow you to take your hands off the wheel for long periods of time.

It’s pretty Goid you have to admit
I have driven a lot or new cars even a Tesla X P100 wander all over the road if you ask me
This does better

The steering wheel doesn't look for pressure on it, so something touching it won't help. It's looking for steering input/resistance to its steering inputs.

Was that a calculated fuel economy number or just what the trip computer was indicating? Either way that is very good.

Does anyone happen to know if when using the smart cruise, the brake lights illuminate if the vehicle has to slow down? How about when the FCA system has to intervene? I assume yes with the FCA, just not sure with the smart cruise.

I believe they do, yes.

I would expect them to turn on if the car brakes, not just for slowing down a little. Much like they won't turn on if you let off the gas
