Tailgate not staying completely up

Starting having an issue with my rear tailgate on my 2021 Calligraphy. It will open all the way when the button is pressed from the dash or the rear button, but once opened, after about 5 seconds it goes down about 6-8". I have tried resetting the opening height to the max setting but it still drops the 6-8" after a few seconds. Any thoughts? Plan on talking to the dealer bout when I take it for the next scheduled service.

One (or both) of the power struts must be bad. This is my first vehicle with 2 power struts, so not sure what function each side does. Typically, there's just one power strut, and one typical pneumatic strut that holds the trunk/hatch open, like on vehicles without power-operated trunks/hatches. The fact it's opening where it should, then dropping, indicates a mechanical issue with one (or both) of the struts to me, and not an electronic one. Having said that, I'd like to know what each strut does, so ask your dealer, and tell us what they said . Good luck.
