...well... I don't like it... And maybe I'm just over-reacting, but I think front-end (the FACE of the vehicle) design is SO bad - the "Sonata" brand will be forever tainted. I've seen nicer flagships go away that looked much better than this... I predict sales will be bad - and Hyundai will replace the Sonata with a proper flagship like the new Azera (Grandeur)...

I disagree. At least it's unique, like the 2011-2014 was. The 2015-2019 was bland.

The DRLs that blend with the chrome strip look great. The rear is pretty interesting too. My issue with it is the lack of replacement engine for the outgoing 2.0 turbo. But it's coming later next year, as a Sonata N-line.

You know what they say --- beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe I just want that darn Azera back. :p

I saw one driving around a few days ago. It is interesting looking. Different, and may grow on me. The new Kia optima, however, is much better looking.

Really? Where do you live? They're not available for sale yet - so that would be a really interesting fine. I 100% agree with you on the new Optima. I really do like it...

I live just outside Los Angeles, on the way to the Hyundai/Kia test facility, so I see models early all the time. I remember seeing the telluride out driving around before it was even announced what the final version looked like. Same with the veloster years ago.

I didn’t know they tested in LA. That explains why I saw camouflaged Velosters while on a business trip there right around the time they were announcing it.

That's great! You should always have your camera ready! :D
