First and foremost, right up front, our 2022 Calligraphy is the most pleasant car I've ever driven in my 55 years of driving. I've had more "fun" cars, i.e. sports cars, but never one so pleasant to drive. I look for excuses to take road trips just so I can spend a few days enjoying the car. I have a truck for a daily driver and leave the Palisade for my wife.

A few points:

Silliest thing: the 160 mph speedometer.

Irritatingest (yes, I know it's not a word): 70 mph located at the 9:00 position. Normal operating range, cruise speed, if you will, is more appropriately located in the vicinity of 12:00.

Goofiest: Tachometer swings backwards. Just as irritating as flying an Aeronca 7AC Champ which does the same thing.

Coolest (pardon the pun): Ventilated seats in the Texas summertime (May - September and sometimes longer)

I also find it irritating that I cannot disable the Auto Stop-Start in settings as opposed to having to do it on every start-up. The cruise control is a bit more aggressive when resuming, or re-accelerating after an adaptive slow-down, than I'm used to. No big deal.

I'm used to Garmin navigation conventions after 20+ years of using them so I never bought a car with OEM navigation. I let my wife pick the color and trim level on this car and was apprehensive about using the nav system. So much so that on our first two trips, I brought along a Garmin. It remained on the floor behind my seat. I was quite impressed with the OEM unit and it's operability. None are perfect, but this is very good.

Once I got used to the layout, the ergonomics are pleasing to use also. One of the big selling points for me on this car over some others, and this may sound odd, was the tray space underneath the console with its power outlets. It's great to not have devices taking up space on top of the console while charging.

Well, that's about it for now. I haven't driven it in about a month and I'm probably forgetting something. I think it's time for another road trip.
