Only for the 2020 models purchased after February 1 of 2020. So, all of us who have jumped on the bandwagon to buy the 2020 Palisade early are getting screwed. https://www.hyundaiusa.com/assurance/complimentary-maintenance.aspx
Screwed? How so?So, all of us who have jumped on the bandwagon to buy the 2020 Palisade early are getting screwed.
Yes, but that's all you would need in a brand new vehicle. So basically it's just oil changes and tire rotations for 3 years. No other types of maintenance are involved?
The maintenance schedule may call for cabin filter and/or engine air filter change within 3 years. I believe they recommend cabin filters be changed yearly.Yes, but that's all you would need in a brand new vehicle.
It is to help Hyundai sell more vehicles, not to help owners. Therefor they are targeting potential new buyers who haven't decided yet. As already noted the MSRP was raised shortly before to offset the cost of the free maintenance.Seems like they only did it to target people during tax season if it really was to help owners it would be all 2020s no matter the purchase date at this point.
I just wrote a scathing email to Hyundai. It just isn't fair and we all need to do it. We took a chance based upon the reviews and spent a good deal of money on an unknown model, and in my case and some others, we even paid a premium to purchase the vehicle we wanted. We are the ones who helped contribute to the popularity and marketing, and we are omitted? NOT RIGHT! No where in their ads is there the disclaimer about the February 1st date, its only in the fine print when you actually look it up. I think that is misleading and unfair. What if a person buys a Palisade that was first sold prior to February? Do they get the benefit? I see no reference to that scenario. Could I resell the vehicle to myself now that I have made a bunch of payments, get a better financing rate because the financing would be less and then take advantage of the ad? Inquiring minds want to know. We need to start a letter writing campaign to see if they will do what is right, and because of us making the new car sales and demand popular.Only for the 2020 models purchased after February 1 of 2020. Correct, I am upset. I paid a preium for the vehicle which negates the $250 markup by far. Its a matter of principal, especially in regard to how they are advertising the plan: ALL 2020 Hyundai's.....and it isn't so.I bet if you write Hyundai a check for $750 (the $250 mark up in MSRP and loss of the $500 conquest incentive that corresponded to this going into effect), they'd be happy to give you 4 oil changes.
Just to be clear, you're upset because you're not paying $750 for 4 oil changes.
I assume that 6 months from now, when Hyundai offers a $1000 purchase incentive to move units, you'll write them a scathing email then too?Correct, I am upset. I do understand that and thank you for reminding me. Regardless, my opinion of the unfairness remains.I assume that 6 months from now, when Hyundai offers a $1000 purchase incentive to move units, you'll write them a scathing email then too?
The premium you paid is between you and the dealer, not you and Hyundai, because you wanted the vehicle now instead of waiting. It is completely unrelated to the $750 (not $250) delta in price from the manufacturer.
I agree. Paying $750 for 4 oil changes is highway robbery.my opinion of the unfairness remains.
Nobody is getting factory new car maintenance on a used car purchase. What if a person buys a Palisade that was first sold prior to February?
