Yes it is. The infotainment software updates both maps and other parts of the infotainment system, including voice recognition.I saw a tread and the owner said his voice recognition stopped working but he updated the software and it is fine now. Does anyone know if it's the map software the member was talking about?
Ok great, thanks for the information I will update the software. Can the software be obtained on the hyuandai website and how difficult is it to do the update?Yes it is. The infotainment software updates both maps and other parts of the infotainment system, including voice recognition.
Go to Official Hyundai Motors Navigation Update Website. You'll download an updater software that will get you the right firmware. You'll need a USB drive. They ask for 64GB, but a 32GB works. Once the updater has it loaded on your USB drive, you take it to your car and update. Do the quick update, which takes ~30m or double that if you're several versions behind. The general update takes ~3h but lets you use the infotainment system during the update. You do need to have the car running, so this is not advisable. You may be able to do this with a trickle charger on the battery instead of letting the car run, as long as it doesn't automatically shut off on you after a while (I don't know if it does).Ok great, thanks for the information I will update the software.
