Volume knob stuck on adjusting guidance volume only

I recently tried to use Android Auto and it connected for a bit but after a minute it gave an error and disconnected my phone. Now I notice that when im trying to change the volume it will not allow me. Instead it is changing the volume of "guidance" which i dont know what that is. I tried navigating through the volume settings but there is no setting to change which volume you want the knob to be adjusting. Any of you guys have this or was able to figure it out?
