Was anyone else just about to buy a Kia Telluride?

I was SO CLOSE to buying a Kia Telluride. I really like it quite alot, especially in SX Prestige form. But that's not available anymore. Atleast not for awhile. That gave me a chance to look into the Hyundai Palisade. I guess that was a mistake made by Kia. This will be my second Hyundai. I have a 2015 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 in white. Great car. And great ownership experience. Anyway I'm looking forward to the Palisade as it's taken over for top of my list.

I was real close to ordering an SX Prestige also until I drove an S a few times and I didn't really like the ride quality with 20" tires. I'm also waiting for the Palisade because it seems to be a little more upscale. I'll see how it rides with the bigger tires. I would even trade with some one with 18's if I could.

KIA's mistake was underestimating the demand for the SXP at its price.
Yea I agree with ya. They should know better because almost everybody buys the GT version of the Stinger.

I know what you mean. 2 inches really does make a big difference when it comes to tires.

I'm still considering one. However, I'm in no rush and really don't have to seriously consider a new vehicle until the end of next year. I'm struggling with the Palisade's head lamps, not a fan of headlights that low. Aesthetically, I'm wondering if it's more of a fad versus the more classic look of the Telluride lights, which may age better over time. However, I'm enamored with the digital gauge cluster in the high end Palisade and the DRLs are unique. Lastly, what's the thinking behind the D pillar chrome accent that goes to infinity? I'm not sure what Sang Yup Lee was thinking there, it doesn't tie into the chrome on the other pillars. The Telluride design is clean and flows.

Yeah, there's definitely plusses and minuses for each one. It'll probably be a difficult decision in the end. It may even just come down to availability for many people... For me, while the exterior of an automobile is very important - it's the interior that's more important - as that's where I am almost all of the time...

Agreed. Interior to me is also very important, and I absolutely find Palisade's interior to be top-notch and way better than the Telluride.

With that said, I got the Telluride as that was available right now versus having to wait for the Palisade.

One day, however, we will get a Palisade when it's time.

Has anyone heard of a price increase coming in the next 2-3 weeks? I'm sitting in a south Florida Hyundai dealer and i think they are blowing smoke up my whosee to get me to sign today.

Just go somewhere else. Greedy dealers and liars.
The lying liars lying lies about everything they can lie about. They lied about the $500 conquest lease rebate. They lied about the $1000 lease rebate. They lied about the price increase. They lied about the Hyundai website. They lied about their own website. The salesman was more embarrassed to say what his manager told him to say than I was to hear it. And this was from the biggest Hyundai dealer in southeast Broward county. Not worth the free popcorn.
