Well the honeymoon is over.

That looks like a big rock hit. Some of the other broken windshield hits have looked like much smaller strikes. Curious to hear what your dealer has to say.
Would be nice if Hyundai started a good will replacement policy.
All automakers, including Hyundai, have some goodwill money laying around, but I have never heard of it being used for something that is clearly damage caused by a road hazard. Goodwill is usually for a situation like when the warranty runs out, and a day later the engine fails, and the owner has done all the correct maintenance on the car.

I know. I was trying to make the OP feel better, but I was doubting they would replace it for free.
And with a class action pending I would think Hyundai wouldn’t be doing any windshield replacements lest they look like they’re admitting a flaw.

I mentioned it looked like a bit hit on the OP’s windshield. I’ve had many rock and debris hits over the years and that one is BIG. It unfortunately happened with less than a 100 miles, but that’s just bad luck. That sized rock would have broken any windshield from any manufacturer, even Tesla’s supposed break proof glass (that’s supposed to be funny and poking fun at Elon)
