My medium-sized dog was in the back cargo area (3rd row was folded) of my Palisade this evening. I left her alone for about 45 minutes and came back to find her on one of the 2nd-row seats with a chewed electric part and pieces on the floor.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out what this is. I couldn't find anything visually in the cargo area or 2nd row that looked broken/torn. When I drove home there were no warning lights or errors, and everything seemed to work.

Some notes:
- 2020 Palisade Limited
- Must have been something accessible by a dog from the cargo area or 2nd row
- Has some kind of sensor or possibly a speaker
- Has a bracket of some sort
- Appears to have compartments for non-standard batteries (looks empty as I didn't find any)
- Internal circuit board
- Has a micro USB port; I didn't find the other end, but I believe it is what the sensor connects too
- Has a chip with the marking "FM9688AA". Googleing gives some results on Allied Express (Asian electronics marketplace) for a SOP8 integrated controller. Reviews say that it can be used as a replacement of some kind of part for wireless headphones and that it might also be a transmitter of some sort.
- Has a designation of
- Some kind of temperature or climate sensor (but all of those look to be in the bumper area or dash)
- The rear occupant alert sensor (wrong shape)
- Maybe related to the intercom (driver talk)?
