Wind noise and buffering in Hyundai Palisade

No I haven't. Seems like this will be a big issue. TSB already out on it, when I called consumer services it seemed like I wasn't the first.
The fact that there's a tsb out should make it not a big issue. Hyundai has agreed there is a problem and provided the techs with the info to fix. Seems like the only issue here is that the dealership you took yours to was being unhelpful.

Several people across the forums have taken their vehicles in and had them repaired under the tsb and seemingly resolved the problem.

From what I’ve read, others have had success getting the tsb done successfully. Worth a shot if you haven’t done it yet
I had reported earlier that the wind noise was fixed but after driving it on the highway at greater speeds, it is NOT fixed after taking it in and giving the dealer a copy of the TSB.

Thanks for posting, this will be really helpful. We are taking ours in on Friday.
Sorry--my wind noise is NOT fixed at higher speeds. After three times at the dealer there must be a different direction. Has anyone contacted HYUNDAI directly about the wind noise issue?

I have not made an appointment with the dealer yet, but in the meantime I did what was shown in post #145. in this thread.
It is ugly, however, it does stop the wind noise. After I did this on the front windows, I could now hear wind noise from the rear windows, so I did it there also. The car is now quiet (for) now...

Send a photo to Hyundai...

I took mine into dealership and they claimed it was fixed that day. I had given them a copy of the TSB when I dropped off my palisade. They had no idea what it was. I thought it was fixed until I reached higher speeds on the interstate. Then the whistling and wind noise started. It's now happening even at low speeds around 30 mph. I am taking it back Monday. It's getting really annoying.

I would first ask if they ever test drove ...and if so...why did they give you the vehicle back if it was not fixed ! Tell them to give you a loaner...until it is repaired....next step will be an auto body repair shop to get it fixed and YOUR DEALER CAN PAY FOR IT..best of luck...

Thanks! I wondered the same thing. Will post again after I take it in on Monday.

Does anyone have a Palisade Limited without this problem. Holding off till the factory corrects. Who knows when????

There’s a few who don’t have the issue at all. My guess is because the limited is so popular, they are rushing production and aren’t fully testing to make sure the wind issue is completely fixed before sending out to the dealers. Then you have the TSB where some dealers aren’t performing the fix correctly or it isn’t working. Personally I went to go look at a gray limited yesterday and the dealer had it start at 51. Told me all this nonsense about how stuff was added on at the port and they don’t have control over price meanwhile there’s other dealers selling for 47. After all taxes and registration, I was given an estimate of 54,849 with monthly payments of almost 1,000. All this for a Hyundai that could also have a potential wind noise on the highway which I wasn’t allowed to bring it up to highway speed so who knows if I were to purchase it, would it have the issue and spending all that money. A few months from now when their gearing up for the 2021’s, I can easily see them trying to get rid of these limited’s and bringing the price down substantially.

there is a tsb about wind noise, they will try to correct it with foam. If that does not work the will order a new run channel. this part is on back order and will take awhile to get as in no eta. go to your dealer tell them about the noise and the tsb

Thank you....good to read that if the tsb does not work..there is a (Plan B )....looking forward to my Limited arrival in couple of weeks.

I have the limited, picked it up in July. It has a very loud low frequency hum when driving over 50. Not so much the whistling that others are hearing. I found that if I touch the window switch just enough for it to move down very slightly , it stops. It is as if the auto up feature raises it too far into the windows channel. I am guessing an adjustment will do!

I found this same fix a couple of months ago! On mine when the window goes all the way up,it pushes the top door frame inward about 1/16 to 1/8 of a inch causing the hum to start when a cross wind is fitting the opposite side of the car. When i back the glass down about 1/16 of an inch , the top door frame moves back out and the noise stops! Itold the dealer about this and he is now waiting on all new seals before he starts working on mine!

I have an Ultimate (called Limited in USA), it now has roughly 10,000 KM or (6,250 Miles), I bought it the first week available in Canada.
I have had zero problems, no wind noise etc. Nothing. Only problem I had is figuring out all the settings and features, Sometimes the manuals were not to clear.
I think I have now mastered all the setting.

I have a Palisade Limited and I have a loud wind noise coming from the driver's side window at speeds over 60 mph. Took it to the dealer and they said the checked the door seals and they are OK and that the noise is coming from the outside mirror. I don't believe that for a second as the same mirror is on the passenger side and there is no noise on that side. I am going to put a bag over the driver's side mirror and see if the noise is still there.
