Wind noise and buffering in Hyundai Palisade

I have a Palisade Limited and I have a loud wind noise coming from the driver's side window at speeds over 60 mph. Took it to the dealer and they said the checked the door seals and they are OK and that the noise is coming from the outside mirror. I don't believe that for a second as the same mirror is on the passenger side and there is no noise on that side. I am going to put a bag over the driver's side mirror and see if the noise is still there.
Refer them to TSB

Actually, one of the fixes on the TSB is to replace the outside mirror assembly due to the gasket folding during assembly causing friction between the gasket and door panel. My dealer ordered one for me and I am waiting for it to arrive to get replaced. Let's hope that fixes the issue...

I too have an October 26th Limited AWD build with no wind noise. Drove up to Chicago from Atlanta and back. On the way back the weather was very windy. When the seals are installed properly, no wind noise, but this design has very little over engineering to compensate for installation error.

2600 trouble free miles since December 12th.

I just got a new Palisade. When i test drove another palisade before buying this unit, i did not hear much road noise through driver window.

But in this Palisade when i dive >40 MPH it feels like air trying to gush in type of road noise. Is this normal?
I have the same problem.

My palisade has now been back in the service department since Tuesday. They're trying to find a permanent fix and are actually going over it all with the engineering department at Hyundai from what they've told me. So time will tell. If i get a solution I will post immediately.

Thanks -- that will be helpful, as I am waiting for a mirror assembly part to arrive for replacement, but leary that it will fix the problem...

Limited ? Build date ? Did you test drive prior to purchase ? Did the issue develope slowly and get worse over time ? Is the noise just from one area ?

Yes it's a limited, I do not know build date. I did a test drive on another limited and didn't notice any type of issue. We didn't test drive the one we purchased from the showroom floor. The noise is a whistle and wind noise from driver window and slightly in passenger window. It was noticable immediately. They tried to fix it once but the whistle is still very very evident and annoying. Now we are just waiting and waiting for answers.

It’s awful...in mine also, it’s the side view mirror, had to dealer twice now, ordered a new mirror, still did not resolve, this is a huge problem and not all experience this. I drove other’s with no problem. Mine starts at 45-50mph and gets worse around 70

Mine has been in the dealership since last week on Monday. They said they've found the problem and will have it repaired tomorrow. Once I have it back and test drive it I will post if it's fixed and what they did to repair.

Very encouraging...they sure have had enough time to fix it...I would not give them the keys to your loaner until you inspect your Palisade inside and out, then test drive...good luck..

Finally have my Palisade back! Drove her up to 70 mph and no wind noise or whistle so far! I've attached the little bit of info from the service report. Will continue to update if noise is still gone or if it returns. This is definitely a manufacturer/engineering issue, and they are figuring out how to repair it. If this is the final fix that would be great because I love this car and it's features. Hate for something small to prevent others from purchasing..15785303744511297676010017595553.webp

Is anybody else experiencing a very loud wind noise on the driver side of the car at higher speeds. Mine is so loud it hurts my ears. I am going to take it to the dealer, but wondered if anyone else was experiencing it or took it into the dealer.
We just bought one on Tuesday and we didn't heard it until we went on the highway, and yesterday when I drove it to work I heard it again, what I did I pressed the window button an small touch and it stopped or at least reduce the noise, I called the dealer and they said to take it for service, I am not sure if that is under warranty, anybody knows?

Of course it is...
Hyundai has a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) out on this problem.
