Found the info. What a disappointment. Looks like Hyundai forgot to provide for a 7 pin trailer connection. You cannot pull a 5000 lb. trailer in most states and Canada without having electric brakes. So manufactures either provide this connection or the pigtail behind to rear bumper to convert the 4 to a 7 pin connection. My current 2012 vehicle didn't have the 7 pin connection at the rear bumper but at least had the additional 3 pin connection under the dash. Apparently, with the Palisade you need to run a battery connection from under the hood (probably from the battery), and a brake wire from under the dash as well as a ground. To have this done professionally you are looking at around the $400. + mark for labour and parts. I hope that I somehow got this wrong and Hyundai has a recall to provide owners with a better solution.
