new to forum and tried to search for this but??? I tow a trailer with brakes. Does the Palisade come with a 4 way or 7 way wiring connection? If just a 4 way, has anyone wired up a Palisade for a 7 way connector?

Found the info. What a disappointment. Looks like Hyundai forgot to provide for a 7 pin trailer connection. You cannot pull a 5000 lb. trailer in most states and Canada without having electric brakes. So manufactures either provide this connection or the pigtail behind to rear bumper to convert the 4 to a 7 pin connection. My current 2012 vehicle didn't have the 7 pin connection at the rear bumper but at least had the additional 3 pin connection under the dash. Apparently, with the Palisade you need to run a battery connection from under the hood (probably from the battery), and a brake wire from under the dash as well as a ground. To have this done professionally you are looking at around the $400. + mark for labour and parts. I hope that I somehow got this wrong and Hyundai has a recall to provide owners with a better solution.

When inquiring about the Pallisade, I was told at one of the dealers that the Tow hitch install was not available; that Hyundai had not shipped any with tow hitch, and that the manufacturer hadn't even provided the dealers with parts to install the tow hitch at the dealer either. I know nothing about towing, but I know that the Tellurides that I was looking at all came with tow hitch package with the "self leveling suspension".

I'm just mentioning this because I'm curious if the towing system would be different between the Palisade and the Telluride in this regard, and whether more information would be available for the towing wiring connectors on the Telluride model.

Best of luck
