are you referring to the Typhoon Silver? yes it is a Metallic Silver on a Calligraphy and yes it is a rare color.I am seeking the subject color. Several dealers tell me they are coming but no one has one. Has anybody seen one on a lot anywhere?
Thanks. I posted the incorrect color. What I want is the Steel Graphite.are you referring to the Typhoon Silver? yes it is a Metallic Silver on a Calligraphy and yes it is a rare color.
I have one, picked it up 3 weeks ago

I also prefer black interiors, mainly for the privacy benefit. When my car is parked, it is harder to see what is inside of a a car with a black interior. Plus I have a back towel that I throw over anything that is out in the open, and it is almost impossible to see it from outside. But I also have lightly tinted windows (50% VLT ceramic) that helps make it harder to see inside.personally only due black interiors. I hate light interiors they always look dirty and grungy. and the Hyundai Brown interior is just gross, my brother has it on his Santa Fe and i always think I am looking at an interior made out of turds.
Yes. The factory tint on this one is decent. My wife is the one that objects a black interior on such a large vehicle more than me, especially with a dark headliner. And on that note, is the headliner dark with the Calligraphy black interior? Just curious. But reality is starting to set in, and if I don't compromise with the interior, I probably won't get what we wanted. I've never owned a vehicle with brown interior (the Santa Fe is MUCH worse). This only has the top of the doors, dash, AND steering column/wheel brown, and everything else beige. And the brown is so dark my wife thought it was black. Ha ha. Very classy, especially since even Porsches, have the freaking steering column and wheel black, even when the rest of the vehicle is red, brown, or one of those special colors. The other beige, with blue, black, and obviously fake zebra wood, is absolutely awful IMO. So yes, the black, as somber as it might be, it's the least controversial color. And with ceramic tinting, not that objectionable. I wonder how reflective is the factory tint; probably not that much, right? Thx.
100% agree which is why I went with the silver over the white. If I had gotten the white I would have had to spend some $$ blacking out all the silver trim. With the silver it all blends well.Ended up with a typhoon silver/black, and I have to say the black interior is the best looking overall by far, after carefully checking all 3 options at this ALB dealer. We initially wanted white/beige-brown, but looks weird with the metallic-looking center console and metallic looking door/dash trim. And outside, white clashes with the aluminum looking trim as well. It looks the best in silver, since the contrast is minimal, and looks elegant. It also looks good in dark gray, but the contrast is much more obvious. In my opinion, Hyundai should change that with different colors too, but they don't. We didn't want black interior, but it looks the best, so not a bad trade-off.
