I am seeking the subject color. Several dealers tell me they are coming but no one has one. Has anybody seen one on a lot anywhere?

are you referring to the Typhoon Silver? yes it is a Metallic Silver on a Calligraphy and yes it is a rare color.

I have one, picked it up 3 weeks ago

Thanks. I posted the incorrect color. What I want is the Steel Graphite.

My local dealer just offered me one yesterday (FWD, beige interior), but turns out the beige interior is not only beige, but freaking blue and black as well, and with a totally fake 'zebra' wood to boot, so passed on it. It sold 5 minutes later, so not available anymore. Do you want it with beige or black interior? If I see another, I'd let you know, but unfortunately, they're literally flying off dealers' lots, especially when sold at MSRP, like this dealer does.

And if you see a FWD Calligraphy with the unicorn dark brown-beige interior, at MSRP, and not too far from El Paso, TX, let me know too :). Thx.

From Hyundai’s website where you can build you own it shows that none of the colors are trim specific and all of the colors are available on all trims.

NOPE. I just checked again, and the dark brown-beige is only available on white and black. And NONE is available with all 3 interior colors anymore (white used to be). Oh, and typhoon silver is only available with black; all others with 2 out of the 3 interior color options. Go check it, if you don't believe me :).

Finally, Limiteds are only available with 2 interior colors: black or 'beige-beige' (which should be named 'beige-blue-black', since that's what it is); no dark brown-beige on those, unfortunately, so I'm not considering them at this time. If I reluctantly 'forced' to add black interior, due to no availability of white/brown-beige, I would consider white/black and silver/black in either Limited or Calligraphy trim, but not yet :).

I’m talking about exterior colors and not the actual interior options with them

At least in Limited and Calligraphy trims, which are the 2 I'm familiar with , yes. But interior color choices can differ, as mentioned above. A gray Nappa leather option (instead of 2 beiges) would have been nice, but it's only available on Tellurides (besides black).

personally only due black interiors. I hate light interiors they always look dirty and grungy. and the Hyundai Brown interior is just gross, my brother has it on his Santa Fe and i always think I am looking at an interior made out of turds.

I also prefer black interiors, mainly for the privacy benefit. When my car is parked, it is harder to see what is inside of a a car with a black interior. Plus I have a back towel that I throw over anything that is out in the open, and it is almost impossible to see it from outside. But I also have lightly tinted windows (50% VLT ceramic) that helps make it harder to see inside.

But I don't park my car in the sun very often, and also have a windshield reflector when I do. My ceramic tinted windows on the side and back reflects a lot of solar energy.

I picked up a Steel Graphite Calligraphy with black interior for the wife a few weeks ago.

My wife is the one that objects a black interior on such a large vehicle more than me, especially with a dark headliner. And on that note, is the headliner dark with the Calligraphy black interior? Just curious. But reality is starting to set in, and if I don't compromise with the interior, I probably won't get what we wanted. I've never owned a vehicle with brown interior (the Santa Fe is MUCH worse). This only has the top of the doors, dash, AND steering column/wheel brown, and everything else beige. And the brown is so dark my wife thought it was black. Ha ha. Very classy, especially since even Porsches, have the freaking steering column and wheel black, even when the rest of the vehicle is red, brown, or one of those special colors. The other beige, with blue, black, and obviously fake zebra wood, is absolutely awful IMO. So yes, the black, as somber as it might be, it's the least controversial color. And with ceramic tinting, not that objectionable. I wonder how reflective is the factory tint; probably not that much, right? Thx.

Yes. The factory tint on this one is decent.

Good to hear; thank you. That way I only have to tint the front 2 windows. Will use Lumar IRX ceramic tint, which is the best one sold where I live. It should be nowhere as expensive as the stupid Tesla, with the giant rear window, and also giant windshield, that needs heat-rejection film too. Almost a grand for the entire car, excluding the front roof glass.

Ended up with a typhoon silver/black, and I have to say the black interior is the best looking overall by far, after carefully checking all 3 options at this ALB dealer. We initially wanted white/beige-brown, but looks weird with the metallic-looking center console and metallic looking door/dash trim. And outside, white clashes with the aluminum looking trim as well. It looks the best in silver, since the contrast is minimal, and looks elegant. It also looks good in dark gray, but the contrast is much more obvious. In my opinion, Hyundai should change that with different colors too, but they don't. We didn't want black interior, but it looks the best, so not a bad trade-off.

100% agree which is why I went with the silver over the white. If I had gotten the white I would have had to spend some $$ blacking out all the silver trim. With the silver it all blends well.
