I am the previous owner of three different Genesis’s. I had a 2009 and later a 2015 Hyundai Genesis. Last February I bought a GV70. It’s a beautiful car but I was unhappy with it for three reasons. First, it was the base model and had very little technology. Second, the backseat leg room was ridiculously small. Adults were cramped. Third, my local dealer no longer sells the Genesis and the Genesis dealer where I bought it—and could have gotten free maintenance—offers a terrible service experience. It is not worth going there for free service.

To get the larger GV80 would have cost more than $70,000. Instead I got a moonlight blue Palisade Limited. Loads of room (including a third seat that I don’t need), the technology that I have been craving, and—to top it off—a better ride. Oh I love my Palisade!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Palisade! Nice upgrade from the Genesis GV70. The GV70 IS a little small - and really favors sport over luxury. It sounds like you wanted an SUV that favored luxury over sport. The GV80 would have made a great choice - however - is it worth the price over the Palisade? Not sure. What year did you get?

2023. A new one! Gates Hyundai is getting a $4000 markup. I certainly didn’t like that, but the markup is why they had a car in stock, and I fell for the Palisade.
I really do love that new front-end...
