I did my homework. Call S.Korea distribution center. And confirm that our beloved Limited Pali have the folding mirror servo. The problem strive that Mr. Flying H, in their coding for US bluelink have a little glitch and the code was not fixed. So there you have it, we have the ability but not the function. We should get all organized and make Mr. H Fix their mistakes and give what is fair! Just my 2 cents!

Yeap. No kidding. I look and check the Twlkuride fuse boxes and relays and all are the same as ours as we know its our sister. And ask S.K. the esquematic for US and them and was the same so finally call someone there and found out I a software glitch. That instead of fix it was just leave alone.

Just because the Palisade has the wiring and some of the other electronics needed for folding mirrors, does not mean it is just a USA software problem. It is not uncommon for lower trim levels to have remnants of what the higher trim has, so they don't have to make so many different parts.

Even on the Genesis, the higher Korean trim levels have some features not available in the Genesis USA versions.

Kia has an extensive technology and parts sharing agreement with Hyundai, but Hyundai only owns 33% of Kia and they don't coordinate what features to offer in their vehicles.

As I said I make my assignment. I know what I'm sharing. I respect your opinion but the true is what I share. I understand your point. But because a bug that can be fixed we don't enjoy have mirrors fold is lame from their part.

Oh by the way the only ones that could fold are for limited trim. The other 2 by vin number decipher don't

Coding problem? None of the US cars have the switches for folding mirror either. They're missing physical hardware for it.

Also, why would a bluelink coding issue effect the ability to use the power mirrors otherwise?

Just ask for the part number for the Palisades from Asia and US same part number. And yes is a bug in the coding. No need of physical buttons my friend. When you lock the car they fold like BMW etc... When you unlock car mirrors open and puddle lights turn on. In the Settings for Asia you can enable both functions in the settings. Just look at any video for the Palisade for Asia and see yourself the mirrors working. Why is so hard to believe this is real?

Ask US headquarters. Not me! But is a fact is a bug in software.

Forgot to mention Limited is USA. VIP in Asia. New model 2021 Calligraphy. The VIP difference are have refrigerator option and have the led lamp in bumper and 3 LED headlamp instead of 2 for USA and no led in bumper between the cascade from turn signals and headlamp. I have spend a lot time on the phone with Korea surveying our cars. I love my Palisade and I'm trying in benefit of all us the answer of why Asia and not US and finally have my questions answered.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the effort, but being that there's more changes here than the mirrors simply not being enabled, there was obviously a conscious choice to not include the folding mirrors.

I will not be surprised they offered in the 2021 model as a novelty.

give what is fair!
While I wouldn't say no to having folding mirrors and do think it's silly they aren't included, I don't think anyone is entitled to them or that it's unfair that a feature that wasn't offered or advertised isn't included.

If you look at the Korean Palisade with the folding mirrors they have a switch to operate the folding mirrors and ours don't
The telluride also has a switch for folding mirrors.
That's not to say they couldn't be folded in the software if the mirrors were equipped with the proper mirror.
Go look at a mirror off our palisade at a dealership parts department. none I have seen could be folded by power.
They don't have the servo motor in them.
I have no doubt with the Korean mirror and a switch they could be folded with software or a switch.
The wiring is the same for their Palisade, But we need a relay operated from the puddle lights to work a servo motor.
Where is that relay located?

Similar to my Audi Q5 previously owned.

Because there is a physical button on the South Korean models. See picture below taken from the South Korean manual. Yes, there is a setting to do that automatically when locking/unlocking the car, but there's still a physical button that we don't have in the US or Canada.

Also, what kind of bug allows this to work in one country and not another?
