I'm going to leave the more rugged to marketing.Thank you everyone! I keep reading how the Telluride is more rugged. I'm not very ruggedso I think the softer one will be better for me.
After more reading I've come to the same conclusion. I think the ruggedness is more in the appearance than anything.I'm going to leave the more rugged to marketing.I believe this was intentional by Hyundai and Kia as not to have one cannibalize the other. There may be objected differences why one may fit for off-road more so than the other. Maybe others can speak to this as it was not a consideration in the buying decision. This whole "rugged" thing is purely a look IMO.
The two vehicles have slightly different treatments to the suspension, with the palisade having a little higher spec equipment. As such, the telluride will feel a little stiffer driving and the palisade slightly softer. That's about it as far as actual performance difference. After more reading I've come to the same conclusion. I think the ruggedness is more in the appearance than anything.
