I have yet to take delivery of my Ultimate (which is what they call the Limited up here) but look forward to seeing if there’s much of a difference between the 3 terrain types. Good possibility. It may have been a way to keep costs down for the introduction of the Palisade in the USA. I imagine both the Palisade and the Telluride will be seeing price increases in the not too distant future - and adding options may be a good way of that making sense to buyers...I think you may see it on the 2021 model. It may be a way for Hyundai to raise the price.
