Hello All,

I am potential new owner close to pulling the trigger on the 2021 Pali Calligraphy. I have a couple of questions, that I either can't find the info on, or the info is vague.

1) I understand that there is a Dark Brown Interior color option, is that true and is there pictures of it anywhere?
2) From what I read the 2021 Pali Calligraphy, has no fog lights, as the same with the rest of the Pali line up. How is the headlight illumination at night, versus say the Telluride?
3) As far as the headlights, are the a fixed position or are they "steerable" meaning, as you go around the corner the headlights will angle themselves in that direction?
4) For the rear view mirror, does it have an integrated digital view of what is in behind the vehicle? For instance, my wife's 2019 Subaru Ascent's rear view mirror, when you pull it downward it displays in the mirror a digital view of what is behind the vehicle. This is useful when you have the vehicle loaded causes a obstruction to what is seen in the "normal" or non-digital view of the mirror.
5) Do the side mirrors fold when the car is parked?
6) Besides, aesthetics, are there any mechanical or other notable improvements to the 2021 Pali Calligraphy or the 2020 Pali Limited or the Tellurides? I heard, that there is additional modes for the HTRAC system and shocks have been reviewed for a better ride.

Thanks everyone for looking at my question and hopefully answering them!

Eric

1) Yes, but nobody has seen the Dark Brown or found pictures of it (that I know of). And since Hyundai’s website still isn’t showing the 2021 models, even though you can find them at dealers, we’re all hoping someone will snap a picture of one at a dealership.
2) The LED headlights are amazing. People think you have high-beams on when you don’t. Check out the IIHS test charts and compare to other vehicles and you’ll see. No need for fog lights.
3) Headlights do not steer.
4) No digital view in the rear view mirror.
5) No, the mirrors do not fold. They are not power-folding on the Palisade. Fold them by hand if you must.
6) No changes to the 2021 model. No, there are no new AWD modes and the shocks haven’t changed that I know of. The only change is that the low-end infotainment system (meaning not the one on the Calligraphy) gets wireless CarPlay/AA. The high-end system with navigation stays as-is (wired CarPlay/AA).

Everything here is accurate, but I will clarify that the “dark brown” interior on white and black Calligraphies have beige seats. There is no Palisade that actually has brown seats.

The only two interior choices for white and black Calligraphies are black and dark brown. So if you see one with those exterior colors in this trim, and it’s not a black interior, then it has the dark brown interior. Study some interior pictures of one of these vehicles compared to the beige interior on the Moonlight Cloud Calligraphy (the only interior offered for that color) and you’ll see some minor trim differences, but you’ll notice the seats are the same.

Hopefully that helps clear that up.

Ah, so a nice brown seat is still not available. Too bad.

Well that’s one opinion lol. I have beige interior and it’s nowhere near white. I preferred it over the black as it lightens the cabin. To each his own though.

I love the beige interior. To me, it appears white or cream colored and not really beige at all. I'm pretty insistent on having that interior. It's highly frustrating that the Calligraphy only offers this interior on the Moonlight Cloud exterior. I would prefer a Calligraphy trim in Hyper White with beige interior. Instead, I'll likely be purchasing a Hyper White Limited with the beige interior. Otherwise I have to sacrifice either my interior or exterior color preference. Why, Hyundai USA, why?!?!?!

Go to hyundaiusa.com.
Build a calligraphy model, select the hyper white exterior you will be able to select the dark brown interior.
Which is NOT dark brown seats, they are beige. It is the trim like on top of doors, and dash which are dark brown
So yes they do have the beige interior look at the pictures at that site

I have done exactly this multiple times. The leather looks darker to me though certainly not a dark brown.

A picture of the inside of dark brown interior

In these pictures the leather and piping look the same as the beige with some of the other accents being a different color which is fine by me. Thanks for the link! It definitely seems like Hyundai's interior color descriptions don't refer to the color of the leather but of the trim. Seems an odd way to describe it to me. But it also appears like I can get a Calligraphy in the colors I want.

Looks like the difference is with the piping on the seats, some trim and steering wheel.

Have a little patience and get what you want color wise.
Make sure you test drive the Palisade at 70mph for wind noise
and smelly seats before you accept it.
That is what I did and really happy with our palisade.

The color scheme is different. The "light beige" has a blue dash and steering wheel, with fake wood inserts. The "beige with dark brown" has a brown dash and steering wheel with silver inserts (which is basically what my 2020 Limited with beige leather has). Hyundai's website also has 3D views of the inside, but I find the colors don't reflect reality - they're off somehow. It'll still give you an idea.

The sales manager told me yesterday they found two hyper white Calligraphy with beige interior on the lot in Ohio to try a dealer trade but they couldn’t get anybody at the dealership on the phone. I’m hoping they can get ‘em before they sell. 🤞🏻

If you have a zip code near where that might be, put that in hyundaiusa and look them up yourself.
If they don't answer your dealer they may not be willing to trade, But might deal
with you direct.
Doesn't matter where you buy it, your dealer will still be required to service it for you

The dealership is owned by family members so they’ll give me special pricing. Also, it would be sort of a slap in the face to buy from anybody else.

The dealer in Ohio was unwilling to send a Calligraphy :(
