Good Morning Everyone! Just thought I would finally say hello. Been lurking for a few weeks and decided to post. After so many attempts to locate a white/black AWD limited we decided to wait for the 2021.... plus dealer markups were ridiculous (5-8k over).... no thanks! Finally found a dealer here in SoCal which was great and honest from the get go. I’m the first one in line for their hyper white/black interior Calligraphy allocation which they are set to get in the next 2-4 weeks. They are not using market adjustments/markups nor inflating prices... MSRP and whatever promotions/discounts (education/first responder/etc) which is awesome. Once I get delivery I’ll post more! Motor on! 😀

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! What will the Palisade be replacing for you?

it will be replacing the wife’s 05 Toyota RAV4.... a big step in the right direction haha.👍🏼

Welcome! What's MSRP on them?
Here's the full price sheet from Hyundai.

In short, it's $47,750 for a Calligraphy plus $1140 for destination, so $48,890 total. Plus whatever factory add-ons you choose (floor mats, cargo mats, cargo covers, wheel locks, etc).

I just joined the group myself and have been lurking for a while. I'm really torn about what car I want now.

I've been very interested in the Palisade Limited, but I really wanted to get the 2021 model in hopes they would fix a few things and add a few things.

It seems Hyundai made some terrible decisions in my opinion for 2021. Why decontent so much on the Limited and put it on Calligraphy? Why not just add to Limited? I can't say I'm excited for the fact of having to get unneeded AWD if I want a top of the line Palisade. I also CAN'T STAND the new wheels. They are absolutely terrible. What were they thinking?

I was considering the GV80, but it's ridiculously expensive to get what I want since I want 3 rows. Plus it's been delayed again and still a first year model.

So now I'm thinking of maybe deciding to get a 2020 Limited or possibly a 2021 Calligraphy. I just don't like the idea of paying $4k more for AWD and probably am extra set of wheels that look decent. I'm just a little nervous about the first year model thing, and there probably aren't many limiteds left.

Is anyone else going through this dilemma?

So what has been left off the 2021 limited compared to the 2020
appears to me it is about the same.
While the info shows quilted door panels and things that are on the 2020 limited
has been added to the Calligraphy trim, remember that trim has been sold in Korea for some
time now and theirs did not have the things which have been added for USA model.
Just because it is added to that trim doesn't mean the other trim is losing it

Hello mpmz71 and welcome!

If you haven't done so already, check dealer inventory for a 2020 limited on the Hyundai website. See if you can find exactly what you want. Once you locate a vehicle that interests you, give it a though inspection and test ride. Not all Palisades are plagued with issues. Ours has been flawless since day one. (Knock on wood lol:)
Good luck and keep us posted

The only functional features that the Calligraphy trim adds are AWD, Downhill Brake Control, and Snow Mode. The rest are relatively minor cosmetic add-ons. Since you don't want AWD, why not just get a 2021 Limited?

Mine has been great also no grips from me

I believe they took away suede headliner, wheels, grille, quilted leather door trim to name a few. There might be a couple of other items missing. The 2021 Limited now looks like an SEL.

There are a few around me fortunately. What month/year was yours built? I'm wondering if later build issues have been remedied.

They took a bunch of stuff away from the Limited to move it to the Calligraphy trim. The 2021 Limited is a lot less appealing, unless you only want FWD, since the Calligraphy is AWD only.

See the 2021 price sheet: https://www.hyundainews.com/assets/documents/original/41643-2021MYPalisadePriceSheet06Jul2020.pdf

Look at every unique items the Limited is losing.

Headliner, quilted leather door trim, etc, are aesthetic and not functional items. The only functional items standard on the Calligraphy, but not standard on the 2021 Limited are AWD, Downhill Brake Control, and Snow Mode. But you can still get AWD on a Limited so it is really just the later two.

I have rarely looked at the headliner of any car I have owned, and right now I could not tell you what color or material of the headliner on my Genesis. Who cares whether it is suede?

You can probably order the Calligraphy sill plate and install on a 2021 Limited, as well as a few other items.

The Limited grill and wheels did not change in 2021 compared to 2020 Limited. Maybe you like the new Calligraphy grille better than the Limited, but you could swap that out also. There are some other Palisade aftermarket grills also (probably also some sill plates, etc).

I compared the 2021 Limited with the 2021 Calligraphy according the price sheet posted above, and the only functional items missing on the 2021 Limited are Downhill Brake Control, and Snow Mode, since one can get AWD on the Limited. The rest of the stuff are purely aesthetic items, most of which don't appeal to me (especially the wheels).

To say that the 2021 Limited is a "lot less" appealing is ridiculous IMO.

So the wheels for limited will stay the same as 2020? Someone had posted a picture of one in another forum that showed that not to be the case.
