TSB 19-BD-010H for Whistling / Wind Noise

I have the same issue with my 2021 Palisade. I actually had my salesman tell me about the wind noise prior to me purchasing the vehicle but he told me it was fixed for 2021 and I really didn't hear anything when I test drove it. Unfortunately, I've now experienced wind noise from the front driver's window and a whistling noise from the front passenger window. I called three different dealers and all of them said that they haven't heard of this problem. I even mentioned that I believe a TSB was issued for this problem in 2019 or 2020. Again, no knowledge of this. I called Hyundai Customer Care and they told me they did not see any references to wind noise in their database and that I needed to take this up with the dealership. Frustrating!

Bad winds here last week and the whistle appeared for me. Was able to video it and shared with the dealership when I took the ride in for a different issue.
They acknowledged Hyundai is well aware of the issue and that they are "evaluating options." I had them document the issue on my paperwork so I have record (first receipt didn't include it).

The window seals were poorly designed, and now I'll question the quality of material spec'd too. I had cured my wind noise/whistle by installing foam insulation rope in the front window channels. That was months ago and it has been a great fix for me.

This past week I started hearing more wind noise, but it was coming from the rear door window area behind my left ear. Using painters tape to first close up the window shade cavity and then the channel and seal that run against the actual glass window, I narrowed the wind noise down to the window seal. I have now applied 3/8" foam rope into the interior window "V" channel and it has cured this new wind noise. It took some pushing and adjusting in the far front leading edge to ensure the foam sealed up this area and stayed seated when lowering and raising the window, but once properly seated the foam doesn't get pulled up out of the channel.

Happy to fix it myself, but I surely hope Hyundai designs a better window seal, if not for this current model then at least for follow-up models.

We don't hear of Telluride owners having issues with wind noise, right?

Just to clarify this and previous fixes, are you referring to the weather stripping that's on the body of the vehicle (that seals the door when it shuts) or the channel at the top of the door itself that "accepts" the window as it rolls up? I assume the latter and, if so, you're just stuffing the foam rope up into that channel at the top and front of the door?

please do a search for my prior posts and you'll find listed instructions and also a couple of pics.

My 2020 SEL has been back to the dealer six time for the same dam noise and I even got the Corporate Headquarters involved and they tried everything and nothing worked. It has been in the shop for damage they have done to it, repainted, now the hatch shock has gone bad. So I'm going back to Cadillac Escalade ESV. The Palisade is garbage not worth the dam money I paid for it. Never again I will stick with GMC.
