I filed a case with Hyundai Motor America regarding wind noise in my limited model. I got a call from the national case manager and he told me that there is no fix available at this time. Hyundai is actively working on this issue.

For those looking to file a case regarding this issue, here is the process.
1. Call Hyundai customer service at 1800 633 5151.
2. Tell the customer service agent that you want to file a case for the wind noise.
3. Have the last 8 digits of your vehicle’s VIN. You will need it to file a case.
4. A case will be filed and you will be provided with a case number. Make a note of it.
5. In the next few days, you will get a call from national case manager to discuss the issue with you.

Try to register a case if you have not done it yet. The more cases we file, the better will be the resolution time from Hyundai.

Hope this helps.

i filed a report on line, received a case number, got a reply and was promptly blown off and was told to go to the dealer. the fact that i live over an hours drive from my nearest dealer, i am in no hurry to make the trip when there is no "fix"(yet).

New bulletin out with a window replacement. My car was in getting weatherstripping replaced and they said new bulletin out today.

Do you have a TSB number or more details you can share? Is it all windows or just some specific ones?

Craigpress, please post any info that you can find on the bulletin. Lots of us are waiting to hear of an official fix from Hyundai.

At about 3600 miles I now hear a faint whistling noise from the front passenger side at freeway speeds! I didn’t noticed any noise before.

About to purchase Limited. Do all Palisades have this problem??? Think it’s best to hold off till issue resolved.

No! All Palisades do not have this problem. My wife has been driving (local and highway) her Limited AWD for 2 weeks now and has not reported any wind noise. I didn't make her aware of the possibility. I didn't want her mind to take over.:)

Is anybody else experiencing a very loud wind noise on the driver side of the car at higher speeds. Mine is so loud it hurts my ears. I am going to take it to the dealer, but wondered if anyone else was experiencing it or took it into the dealer.
We had the same problem--it does not hurt our ears but is annoying and should not be happening. Took it to our dealer and they said it was a seam at the base of the mirror--so they filled the seam with a putty type product. We drove it home and the noise was exactly the same--the "mirror fix" did not help at all--so we now have to take it back again to the dealer--We are 99% sure the noise is on the drivers side door or window seal. Sorry this does not help you much--but at least you are aware that this seems to be a "weak point" in their design.

HI, can you post a TSB or other information so the rest of the forum with this issue can reference it to our dealerships?

Thanks.

They didn’t give it to me and it is not on the paperwork.

Hi Everyone, I'm a sales consultant at a Hyundai dealership in Canada. I've sold 13 Palisade Ultimates, 4 of my clients are having the wind noise issue. One of my clients have left me their Palisade for the week so I will keep everyone updated on what we find. Hitech has told us to adjust the rear doors, so we will start with that.

Has anyone seen improvements after getting the work done per the TSB by the dealer?

I'm also interested to hear, as I'm having the same issue - Limited purchased a week ago. Whoever finds out about the bulletin or a real fix, please let us know.

Word from the "other" forum is that the TSB is coming in December. Fix is a realignment of the door + the interior door panel. Something is amiss from the factory here. My secret guess is a gasket that seals this properly moved during installation or is left out altogether. No conspiracy here, just a hunch. Those that have had the repair report 100% improvement.

I heard the exact same whistling sound while doing a drive test with a Limited a couple of weeks ago.
