ugh, that makes it seem like even recently built palisades will have this issue, maybe mine was built recently enough that they had it worked out

I have same problem when speed is over 45 get wind sound on passenger side it hurt my ears so bad, I love car but this needs to be fixed, i going on road trip with kids and guess whoo will be sating in passenger seat me

There's a tsb out for it now, so take if in to your dealer for repair

Just got my Palisade back from the Dealer who performed the Air Bag recall. I was able to obtain a copy of the attached TSB that addresses the "whistling/wind noise from the door glass area". Hope this information helps.
Thank you for sharing this information ,

I have exactly same issue. Beyond 65mph, the wind gush noise from driver side is unbearable. Keeping the window open is more pleasing. Dealer says it should not be the case and I cannot prove it.

Thank you for the info. I am visiting the dealer for airbag recall and would show the TSB info. Hope that will help.

I just got a new Palisade. When i test drove another palisade before buying this unit, i did not hear much road noise through driver window.

But in this Palisade when i dive >40 MPH it feels like air trying to gush in type of road noise. Is this normal?

Mine was annoyingly loud. As luck would have it I figured out what is causing this on accident. It's a problem with their outside air exchange because when I press the recycle inside air button the wind noise stops within about 3 seconds. Give it a try, wait until you hear the noise consistently and press the inside air button. Before I figured this out accidentally I was convinced my window or door was Improperly sealed but was baffled that I couldn't feel cold air anywhere (live in MN). I think it is the result of their new rear venting system that I'm willing to bet runs right up the frame on the driver side. Here's how Hyundai describes this new vent system:

"Palisade also features an industry-first, innovative new roof vent diffuser design that can provide a focused, partially-diffused or fully-diffused stream of air to rear passengers. This new diffuser vent design provides quieter rear air conditioning airflow, draft-free operation, more uniform distribution of air and the capability for a focused stream of air whenever desired."

Sometimes industry first isn't necessarily a good thing....I'm at the dealership now trying to get this sorted. Fingers crossed.

I'm not sure that would be causing the noise. The diffuser just changes how the air is flowing, but it flows either way if the roof vents are open. I think the recycling of the air causing the noise to go away points to something else.

Recycling of the air is far more likely to lower the internal pressure in the cab. If you're pumping in fresh air constantly, you're building air pressure. This has to go somewhere, and while there are normal vent paths to the outside, if it is easier to sneak past a poorly sealed driver side window, you'll hear whistling there.

While I appreciate everyone's theories, I think I'll stick with the TSB procedures and let the dealer sort this one out.

Anyone do the TSB procedure? Waiting to hear if the wind/noise problem solved before buying limited. Thanks......

Also curious to hear if anyone has done the TSB procedure and had it fix the issue? I have a Luxury model and there is a lot of wind noise + whistling coming from the lower left part of the driver's side window (closest to the driver). I've taken it into the dealership once before but could already tell on the drive home that it wasn't fixed. It seems to be brought on from high speed or if it's a windy day (extra terrible if I'm going fast AND it's a windy day), and having the interior fan on makes it worse.

The dealership said this has happened to many Palisade's and has to do with the drivers side mirror. They ordered a full replacement for the mirror/housing but it is on backorder through December. I'm pretty sure this won't solve it but I'll let them give it a go.

So the dealership took the TSB and basically threw it away and ordered a new driver's side mirror? Hmmmm

But one of the fixes per the TSB is to replace the outside mirror assembly, so they must think that is the actual fix, no?

I thought H.USA had settled on the door panel and seal as the culprit alone. Our appt, is for Dec. 10th, I'll report out what we find out as well.

Has anyone who just received their Palisade during the month of November have any wind noise?

I recommend going by build date rather than purchase date. The build date can be found on the plaque/label on the inside of the driver's door.

July 2 build here and no wind noise issue. At least not yet.

Got mine in 2 weeks ago in Nov, build was Oct 9.
Have a intermittent whistling noise, especially on highways. Waiting for parts/fix.

I am having the same problem, and being a new Hyundai owner I wasn't sure what expectations should be on cabin noise / wind noise. In the past with another SUV I have the service writer take it out showed him how bad it was and ended up being a baffle was misplaced on the side view mirror housing. I am hoping this is also a simple solution because it is quite distracting without the music being up over 20
