Wind noise and buffering in Hyundai Palisade

If you did mean the front windshield though, please disregard. I am just trying to understand exactly where the seal was pulled from.

Yes sorry its from the driver door window. Bottom left corner by B pillar

Wouldn't that be absolutely hilarious if you just happened to figure this whole thing out, when not even Hyundai engineering techs could.
 
I guess we'll definitely know for sure once someone takes the vehicle to a professional soundproofing shop and posts results of the work done and price paid.

I would not be surprised if a good experienced body shop could solve this with minimal effort. Perhaps not correct it..but find the cause..
 
I thought this was interesting, some of you might have seen it all ready. I have learned the Palisade is by far not the only vehicle to suffer excessive wind noise. Tesla, Lexus, and even the new 2020 Highlander had/have complaints over the same issue. Of course, Hyundai/Kia may have more though.

Kind of surprised the 2020 Highlander having wind noise. I had a 2016 limited..never had a single issue of any kind..just put gas in it..chaged oil every 5000...and drove it.. same for my Tundras..Camry,s,Corolla,and Celica...

So, you broke the chain, lol. I talked my father into buying his first Toyota, a 1983 Celica GTS back in 86, and ever since then, that is all he will buy.
There were just a couple wind noise videos of the 2020 Highlander on youtube, when I was looking at Palisade wind noise videos. I was kind of shocked also. They didn't seem nearly as bad to me as some of the Palisade ones though.

Forgot to mention the RAV 4 we bought the very first year of production....I would have bought another Highlander but could not get a 2020 at the time. To do it over,I should have waited.
The wind noise is just part of the overall issue. Hyundai knew they had a problem,but instead of stopping production,they just stuck a piece of foam in the window,and sent the cars to dealers.
I feel if that is an example of their etical standards,what the hell else are they hiding. Of course there are no perfect vehicles,but Toyota had treated me wonderful for 40 years of ownership,and my adult children feel the same.

I do believe Hyundai will make this right still. I have heard of great customer service at Hyundai dealerships also. I think once they finally get this issue resolved, it will be much more smooth sailing. I am not really sure what happened in their quality control plan to release a vehicle with this very annoying problem, but they consistently receive very high long term reliability ratings. Even Genesis this year, first time they have been on the JD Power survey for 2017 models, got the top ranking over Lexus. Granted, they only had 2 models in the line up in 2017, but that is still very impressive. I just hope Hyundai doesn't prove me wrong.

You live in an alternate reality if you think any car manufacturer would stop production for this. And as has been pointed out to you multiple times, other manufacturers have had far worse issues with their cars, which you're conveniently ignoring.

Listen closely......can you hear that?

Sound of the resale value starting to fall. There are owners currently dumping their Palisade, in search of quieter rides.
