Better than nothing, but much better deals, especially on SELs, can be found. How far away from you have you searched?ok. around 1000$.
I searched almost all over USA. This vehicle is getting shipped to me from Florida. Tried multiple dealers and everyone is charging over the msrp.Better than nothing, but much better deals, especially on SELs, can be found. How far away from you have you searched?
Not real sure with the shortage and temporary factory shutdown, but this is what Edmund's shows currently for their "true market value," price, which incidentally is the MSRP. That also tells you the invoice price, excluding any dealer installed accessories, such as floor mats, cargo cover, etc. I would work up from the invoice as much as they will allow. If they can't do it, then the worse they can do is say no, and negotiate. Or you can walk out and find another dealer. Anything under MSRP though is better than MSRP though, just make sure there are no other fees on top of that first. Remember, when you make your purchase, you can apply for $500 post transaction through bonusdrive.com. If your not a customer of any of the companies that are sponsoring it, then Allstate insurance will allow you to go through them, no quote or purchase necessary. I went through them, have been approved, just waiting for the check in the mail. Good luck.Found a Limited AWD for $47,745. Seems like a good deal at $500 off. How likely is dealer to come down on that price with the apparent shortages. I know I will still try and ask either way. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
Awesome man, I am just waiting for that orange envelope myself. Many thanks to this forum. I would have had no idea otherwise.Received my email that I was approved for the $500 bonus drive! Amazing!
We just have to do the same for all the future new owners and members here. As long as the program keeps going, that is.Awesome man, I am just waiting for that orange envelope myself. Many thanks to this forum. I would have had no idea otherwise.![]()

If you're trying to negotiate the deal in person, you've already put yourself at a huge disadvantage. Going to the dealer is for test driving and taking delivery of the vehicle once you've already made the deal.Or you can walk out and find another dealer.
Keep in mind that the GV80 is smaller than the Palisade. It's a 2-row, with optional 3rd-row on one of the trim levels.Pricing was just released for the Genesis GV80. The base model is not that far away from the Palisade Limited price, however the Palisade's top trim has far more in the way of standard ameneties.

2021 Genesis GV80 SUV Will Cost Less Than Fifty Grand
Genesis's first luxury SUV is priced well below where you'd think it would be priced at, with entry-level versions sliding in under $50,000.www.motortrend.com
Do dealers typically negotiate over the phone? Thought they would be reluctant to do that.If you're trying to negotiate the deal in person, you've already put yourself at a huge disadvantage. I didn't realize that about the 3rd row of the GV80. Awd does add alot of $, but compared to the competition it is still undercutting them by quite alot. I would be just fine with rwd though. That said though, I didn't even purchase a limited Palisade, my SEL is just fine with me.Keep in mind that the GV80 is smaller than the Palisade. Also, the premium for AWD is $5,750 to $6,350 on the ones with the smaller engine, because stepping up to AWD adds additional equipment as well. Yikes.
I've seen dealers negotiate over the phone, over text, over email, etc. Personally, I do everything over email and have for every vehicle I've bought/leased in the past 15 years.Do dealers typically negotiate over the phone? Thought they would be reluctant to do that.
I have used Edmund's "true market value," pricing in the past, but in the case of the Palisade, MSRP IS that price. You could also try the "true car," app.I've seen dealers negotiate over the phone, over text, over email, etc. Personally, I do everything over email and have for every vehicle I've bought/leased in the past 15 years.
The dealers that won't negotiate that way tend to be the ones that want you there in person so they can squeeze every last drop out of you. The dealers that just want to do the deal and move on to the next one will negotiate that way.
We had no local true car dealers near us. Fortunately my local dealer wanted to deal at the time though, which was also at the end of the month, which I am pretty sure helped out immensely.True Car is useful for finding out which dealers are advertising prices off MSRP. The dealer I got mine from was advertising $1400 off MSRP before incentives and I was able to negotiate $3000 off before incentives, but because of truecar, I at least knew which dealers to target.
