Cash deal (no trade in, no financing). 990 below MSRP on a Limited AWD in California. Also got the 500 First Responder rebate
Congrats. Glad to know a fellow brother responder has good taste in vehicles. Welcome. To the group. Make sure you go to bonusdrive.com, and apply for that extra $500.

Thanks. Was hesitant to pull the trigger because of the wind noise issue. Took the car for an extended test drive and didn't hear anything. Driving the car home, an hour and 20 minutes into the drive the whistle suddenly became apparent! LOL. So I'm another owner waiting for Hyundai to figure this problem out.

Same experience here..test drove my Limited AWD ..no noise. Continued pretty good for weeks. It became worse as time went on. About six weeks and 1200 miles it is a real pain in the ---.
Good news is , they are working on a real fix. Watch and wait. just completed my Hyundai review last night, stating the above, and the stink in the car at times whew!

Sure hoping it doesn't get worse, especially to the point of the seriously loud whistling I've seen (heard) on Youtube. Ok, I'll continue any noise issue posts on the appropriate threads.

You not only joined the group, you joined the club. 😜
If you go back on the wind noise thread, there are some Palisades that had foam placed in the upper door channels bilaterally, closest to the A-post. When you get a chance, check to see if it is present in yours. That was one of Hyundai's TSB fixes initially. It has worked on ours so far. I am still holding out for the permanent fix however. You stay safe as well, and good luck avoiding Covid19 on the front line. We received our first local case today. In the State of Tn, we currently have 18.

Due to recent stock market crash, I would expect prices for the top trim levels to soften a bit in coming weeks.

I wouldn't. They aren't making anymore Palisades for awhile. Supply will be short so I dunno why they would reduce prices. A couple of bad sales months could lead dealerships to panic just to keep the doors open though, but I doubt that will occur anytime soon.

Just picked up a new 2020 Palisade Limited AWD in Hyper White today! Man, this ride is a beauty and loaded!

I live in Seattle WA and have been negotiating with multiple dealers via text/email for a week or so. The Limiteds are hard to come by, and the inventory you see now is probably all that'll be available for months with the Ulsan plant down. One dealer said no new Palisades until May and another said August (fwiw). Some dealers wouldn't budge from MSRP, some wouldn't respond to my emails, but I had two "internet managers" competing for my business and my work paid off. I recommend going directly to a manager at a high-volume store to negotiate if possible.

Granted, I am at "ground zero" for COVID19 in the USA. The dealers here are struggling to get people into showrooms. This dealer said that sales are down 60% this month and we're just at the beginning of the pandemic in the US. China reported that auto sales were down 70-90% in Feb.

I didn't squeeze out every dollar or accessory I could have, but left extremely satisfied and negotiations were pretty simple. The dealer was super thankful I even came in. Not a single other customer was in the showroom with me from 12PM-3PM on a sunny Sunday.

Here's the deal:

MSRP $48,045
Discount $2,849
Price = $45,196+++

* Included OEM crossbars and all-weather mats. ($599 retail value)
* Financed through Hyundai for 60 months at 1.9%
* $5,000 down on credit card (0% interest for 12 months).
* Traded in a 2011 Hyundai Sonata for more than expected.
* Got the $40 test drive prepaid Visa and applying for $500 Bonus Drive.

Even at that price, the "other" dealer still offered to match/beat, but I was satisfied and liked the staff at the local dealership who earned my business.

I made sure they knew I would leave positive reviews on Hyundai survey, Google, Yelp, and Dealer Rater.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like info for the dealers and reps who were willing to play ball!

Great deal! Congrats and welcome Jesse. Stay safe out there my Hyundai brother. We have 39 cases in the whole State of Tn, but only 1 here in Knoxville. 🙏 for the health and well being of your family.

Bought a fully loaded Moonlight Cloud SEL with floor mats, privacy shade, cargo net, first aid kit, wheel locks, 3M front coating for $41,635 + TTL. I opted to also purchase a 150,000/unlimited month warranty for $. I grabbed the $40 test drive offer already and applied for the $500 Bonus drive offer.

We ended up traveling 600 miles for this vehicle as this was the only Moonlight Cloud or Burgundy that had a black leather interior with all the options so I felt like I was already at a bit of a disadvantage negotiating much. Overall, pretty happy with everything except that it's my wife's car and I'm a bit jealous as I'm digging it.

I am in the same boat, our SEL is my wife's also, but at least when I do get to drive it, I no longer have to drive a minivan. Congrats on your wife's new Palisade, and welcome to the group.

How much you paid for 150,000/unlimited month warranty ?

Whoops. Somehow I deleted it, $2500. My parents just bought a new 2020 Santa Fe and got a 100k/10 year for $1300 so I felt like that was pretty reasonable on a more expensive vehicle with no time limit.

My dealer, well the Finance Guy, tried to sneak in a 995 dollar security system. Felt something was suspicious when he told me 3 separate times how much I would be writing my check out for, before showing me the itemized invoice for all the costs.

He finally printed it out and as I went line by line I see the 995 SAXX security System. Immediately told him I wasn't buying any additional security system and I never discussed nor agreed to it. 1/2 an hour later and a few excuses from him that it must have been a "miscommunication" between the sales person and me (Finance Guy LIAR), he removed the listed item.

At first when I told him I was upset that they installed this system, hacking into my wires, he said, "we are professionals and wouldn't damage the car."

Then when the papers were all signed he said, "Oh, so we never actually installed the security system so your wiring is all intact."

More lies. I'm sure they never actually installed the HACK and would have rushed to install it if I was a sucker and signed the paperwork agreeing to the added security system.

Too bad, because I'm sure there are buyers who fall for this oversight and are too excited about buying a car and overlook these "small" line items.

Salesperson was awesome. The finance guy was not to be trusted. I'll be mentioning this in my Hyundai survey when the time comes.

Hyundai Motor has no control over the sales process of independent Hyundai dealers in the USA. Due to laws in virtually every state, dealerships cannot be owned by the auto manufacturer.

Is this the hyundai platinum warranty or this is something different? Because I don't see the 150k warranty. So wanted to check.

Yes, I know Hyundai doesn't own their dealerships, but manufactures want to know our satisfaction rate with their dealers regardless. It can go towards the training they provide to their dealers/sales staff.

And, let's not forget Tesla who is changing the game with manufacture direct sales. Not a huge Musk fan, but what Tesla is doing is at least getting the old school manufacturers to up their game for BEVs

You must be joking. Hyundai does not provide sales training to dealers/sales staff.

Everyone in the world knows (or should know) that many car salespersons and finance managers are shady people who will try and lighten your wallet to the best of their ability. Buyer beware. Never sign anything without reading it (kudos to you for catching it).

If you want to report shady sales tactics or fraud, contact a consumer affairs reporter at a local TV station, or the local district attorney (usually county level). But I think they will yawn at your complaints.

Tesla can only be sold in certain states, where they got specific exemptions on the state laws that prohibit manufacturers from owning dealers. Obviously, Michigan is not one of those states.

He didn't say sales training. He just said training. Hyundai does train dealers on their products.

Thanks Eric. Alan, let's try to keep the snide comments out of this forum. Thanks. I've been to other forums where people get a bit carried away with things.

And I caught this attempt to slip a 995 dollar change past me because I am aware it's the finance guy's duty to make as much money for his employer as he can. What I found especially maddening is he never tried to sell me the security system. He just put the contract in front of me and wanted me to sign it.

So an unsuspecting or inexperienced buyer, maybe someone buying a new car for the first time, is overwhelmed with the process or super excited to get into his/her new car, just signs the paperwork and the dealership makes off with an extra 995 dollars?

that's what pissed me off. Not that he tried to up-sell me, because I expected as much. It's that he tried to SLIP an extra item by me by adding it into the contract (literally a small line item) and hoping I wouldn't notice it.

That to me is shady, and I feel for the unsuspecting buyer who gets ripped off by this scam

buyer beware

On a separate note, I know people listing their purchase price is a guideline others can use to see what kinds of deals they can find out there, but I think it would be more helpful if people would list the dealership and city/state, whether the car was financed by Hyundai, and if there was a trade-in involved. Just my .02
