Hi

Can you let me know what the item was that the finance guy tried to tag into the total OTD invoice? I hope it will show up in the invoice or any inputs on how to find it?

Thanks

I took a photo of it. The guy got upset I circled it. Hahahah. I was pissed he tried to sneak it through and then blame my salesperson for a “misunderstanding.”

Hi, I am looking for a 2021 SEL with both packages in the Chicagoland area. The best discount so far has been around $1600. Has anyone been able to do better for a 2021 model in this area?

I was given a quote of 46500+ for OTD on this one, though will still be looking for more as I prefer Captain Chairs. We'll see. . .

On another dealer, I was given a quote for 42600+ for this vehicle. I think I can live without the premium package.

Just coming back on this. I found in the Chicagoland Area that D'Arcy in Joliet was the most willing to provide upfront pricing, a decent discount and does not add any dealer addons. They were willing to delivery the car to the Northwest Burbs without setting foot into the dealership which is a big plus with all the Covid restrictions these days. I did not have a trade in so it made the delivery possible.
MSRP: 43,970
Price paid: 42,347 + TTL.

Just have to find that right dealer at the right time for some wheeling and dealing. Reach out in one form or another to all the dealerships you are willing to travel to. The end of the month is always a good time. I purchased mine on the last day of May and managed to get out the door on a loaded SEL fwd for $38k because I told them that’s where I had to be with the 0.9% Hyundai financing they were running at the time. Look online to see which models they have in stock. If you’re not picky on color put them in the drivers seat so to speak. I simply emailed some dealers, told them I was looking for an SEL Pali with leather and led lighting (knowing that meant the premium and convenience packages I wanted), told them where I had to be and if they had a vehicle that I’d go there that day and buy it. One got with me right away and after just a couple of back and forths I went and bought it. In my area there are several Hyundai dealerships and trust me these guys were all over the place with what they were offering and where they were willing to go. I got a pretty good deal from a dealership 20 minutes from another that was basically like “yea, these are selling well so it’s pretty much sticker, maybe a couple hundred off tops”.

Had a very good experience with Global Auto Mall in NJ. Loaded Palisade SEL trim for $1500 under MSRP after getting insane numbers from other dealers.

2021 Calligraphy $47,750 + $1170 (Options ) + $1175 (Inland Feight & Handling) - $3012 Dealer Discount = $47,083 at Wayne Hyundai, NJ. Although they forced me to pay for Etch for $399 which was a bummer. I managed to get Hyundai Motor Financing at 1.9%.

SunKing, Like the Angels cap so I'm assuming you're in So. Cal. Do you mind if I ask you which dealers you felt were cooperative in the area? We're in the market for the same type vehicle (Conv. & Prem Packages).

Lol no, I live in the Tampa Bay Area now. But within 60-90 minutes from me now there’s like 10 Hyundai dealerships.

21 Calligraphy AWD Moonlight Cloud w/Beige Interior
45,190 plus $715 accessories (wheel locks, cargo package, carpeted floor mats, cargo cover, rear bumper applique). Could not negotiate on accessories as according to dealer these were factory installed and had to get the car from another dealer. Guess either blue is not as popular as others OR its difficult to keep them in stock because of popularity?. Installed running boards for another $800 for kids. Overall, happy with the purchase. Got 1.9% w/hyundai financing but can even go lower to 1.4% w/some credit unions with direct deposit. add 325 for govt. fees, another 300 doc fees (license plates/registration) and 3300 taxes. Wanted to break it below 45K but guess I am being too optimistic. All in all 50,630 OTD (w/running boards installed) or 49,830 OTD w/o running boards.

to keep it short :
45,905 (includes $715 worth factory add-on) + TTL. Tried to add $999 worth of “premium protection dealer package” which includes wheel locks (worth $55), door edge guards (about $15-20 from 3M at amazon) and nitrogen filled tires (free at Costco anytime of the day). Told em to remove as I don’t need em. I would have been happier if there were no factory add on as they are a complete waste).

Chris - check out Stockton Hyundai. I got $2K off MSRP on a 2021 FWD SEL with Premium, Convenience, and Cargo packages. I also got the 1.9% Hyundai financing.
