Prices Paid

Just picked up my Limited AWD in Lagoon Silver on 6/19.

Paid $45,752, which was Invoice price on a MSRP of $48,295, not including Tax/Title/License/Fees. All in I was cresting over $49K.

Based on guidance and recommendation from other forum members, I purchased mine and had a great experience through Gerald Walters of Linwood Hyundai in Paducah, KY. He was a class act and pleasure to deal with. Most importantly he was extremely transparent with everything.

I live in Southern Indiana and even though he was several hours away, after trying to make things work with dealers in Indianapolis, Louisville, and even Cincinnati, and getting tired of their games (come on in and we'll "talk"), plus some still wanting premiums over sticker, Gerald was straight to the point. I probably could've pushed him harder on price but after waiting a few months during the Pandemic shutdowns, I wanted to get the vehicle in my garage for my wife asap.

So far have 600 miles on it after a week and very happy!

Congratulations and enjoy your new ride!

Enjoy it! I got the Lagoon Silver too and love it.

I paid way too much for mine! Oh well, I got exactly what I wanted in my hometown. An hour away they were charging $5k over sticker. Mine was sticker, but with nothing added. Dealer added pinstripes which I'm sure are ridiculously overpriced, but I like them. Hopefully I won't be getting my next one in a pandemic, so I can dicker more. It's perfect and hubby didn't complain. I become a woman on a mission when I'm looking for cars and felt fortunate to find just what I wanted. At least I got in on the free maintenance for 3 years. I did get like 5k over Kelly for my trade in, so maybe I didn't do horribly.

As this is the most active string and couldn’t find any fitting one, just wanted to check, if anyone knew about any incentives/finance for July ? I know it is a long shot, but thought I try. I am ready to pull the trigger and it is the last of the month, so was just wondering if I should wait another couple of weeks
Thanks everyone !!

You can go to the Hyundai website and it’ll list any incentives. It looks like only thing on the Palisade through July 6 is the finance rate 1.9% and a lease offer.

On a side note if you or anyone you know likes the Santa Fe you can get some good deals on those with the refresh coming later in the year.

Just got my new Limited. MSRP 48,100, got it for $45,400 and feel lucky; I have a thing for black cars w/beige interiors - I won't buy anything else - and there were only 3 or 4 Limiteds in all of NJ with black + beige - which is saying something because there's a Hyundai dealer every 500 feet here. I've had it for a week, about 900 miles in and I AM LOVING IT. No wind issues (yet) which was my biggest worry. I've never owned a luxury car, and while I don't know if the Palisade qualifies, it sure feels like it.

Atone time, the Palisade was in very short supply, especially the Limited trim level, so that was probably a big factor.

Looking around the Bay Area, cheapest I can find is 4k over MSRP (FWD Limited). I'm widening my search to surrounding cities, but would appreciate any good leads?

I'm sorry! Good luck... It rubs me the wrong way when they add to the sticker!

Damn that stinks. I don’t play that over MSRP game.

That's why I got the Palisade over the telluride, thank goodness!
I would’ve looked at them, but the dealers around me in the greater Tampa Bay Area literally had like one or two and they would either be the highest trim or base.

I'm picky and didn't like the colors of the Kias near me. A dealer had the color I liked in a city an hour away, but it was 5k over sticker (55k), and that ticked me off. In my city, they didn't have have any tellurides, but had dealer-traded for my dream Palisade, so I lucked out!

Are you looking at dealer inventory using the Hyundai website? contact dealers by email and don't walk into their den expecting to deal face to face for a good price.
Are you a Costco member? Give them a call and see who the closest dealer is/are that are offering Costco member pricing on the Palisade you want. When I was looking I settled on Costco pricing in San Diego even though I'm in the Bay Area. BA pricing was high as you're discovering, but it wasn't 5k over sticker for a FWD Limited.

I was in contact with Dick Hannah's in Portland since they had a decent number of AWD Limiteds, and while they initially didn't budge from their MSRP pricing, they did offer to match the Costco pricing. They wouldn't go lower than the deal I already had in hand so I chose to go with Escondido Hyundai in San Diego since they offered the price first and were no-nonsense about it.

good luck in your search. I searched all CA dealers and came up blank except for Escondido Hyundai in the months I was looking. Use the Hyundai website since that gives you a fair idea of who has what in stock or incoming.

Thanks, Raggedy, I've never thought about Costco. Is that for any car? My daughter may want a Tucson at some point. I guess I can figure that one out myself, but thanks so much for the Costco tip!

If you’re a Costco member you can go to their auto website and it’ll give you all the info. I considered using it but I worked a decent deal on mine. If you don’t like haggling with dealers it’s a good thing to look into, but from what I understand about it is that if you use it then you’re locked at the price that gets determined. So you can’t go in and ask for anything else off.
