Regardless, sometimes when car door hits a leg it might get just a small mark, nothing, or first layer of skin minor tear. This Palisade door is so sharp and pointed it gouged a 3.5 inch groove down to my flesh. It's been a week and it still hurts and bleeds. Now they have a door edge garnish to prevent that. Should have been put on at time of production. Should be a class action law suit for this.

My wife got cut twice by this edge. She said the door edge only brushed her leg but it was as sharp as a razor. Can't believe they had car for 3 hours for an easy repair like this. Why was this not taken care of long before thousands of this model were produced over the past few years.
I was driving my sisters Palisade and my leg barely touched the edge of the door and cut my right leg open like a knife wound. This is a serious design flaw in this SUV. I drove this over the weekend on a vacation. If i was drinking or something I would chalk it off but this is a bad design. I had a serious deep gash to my leg that barely touched the door. I'm, sure this is going to leave a scare. Wish I had known as I did not need this to happen.
The same thing happened to me. On Nov 5, 2022 at 1pm EST I opened my drivers side door, stepped out with my left leg, and as I stepped the right leg out my leg hit the door outer most corner and it sliced my leg to the bone, severing through skin, tissue, and fat. The bleeding was horrible, and it took 2 months to heal. A nurse friend brought me some steri-strips and bacitracin to cleanse the wound. She said that due to the deepness of my laceration, however I did not go to the hospital. I did take a picture of the injury, and now on Feb 8, 2023 I still have a horrible scar. The door corner on my 2021 Palisade Limited SUV is very dangerous. I have never experienced this before with any other vehicle I have ever owned. The recall on this front door garnish is #975, Front Door Low Garnish. I have contacted Hyundai about pain and suffering, but this has not yet been resolved. They did schedule me for the #975 recall repair next month.

You probably need to contact a lawyer about pain and suffering, and then Hyundai might respond. But not sure if a lawyer would take the case without getting paid upfront.The same thing happened to me. I think you all need to post pictures of this car and where this action is and then we can go to Consumers Circle tour of illegal to the side of the ones are good but we need the actual pictures of the car the sharpness what actually happens with somebody describing it on a video
