The more people do there homework and hear about both Kia and Hyundai problem with the wind noise it will effect sales. They are already battling being precived as a quality car manufacturer and unfortunatly this ongoing problem wont help their case. I am a Lexus and Audi owner and I have always enjoyed their quite ride. I dont care if the Palisade is up to $20,000 less if the car you are driving is so noisy it is not enjoyable to drive and you have to appoligize to your passangers about the excessive wind noise. I truley hope they get this resolved as I would like to buy the Palisde. Its an incrediable value if they get this noise problem resolved.
Good keep driving your Lexus so I have somebody to laugh at as they drive down the road!!

I just got a new Palisade. When i test drove another palisade before buying this unit, i did not hear much road noise through driver window.

But in this Palisade when i dive >40 MPH it feels like air trying to gush in type of road noise. Is this normal?
Oddly I heard road noise, and thought there was a window partially open. Discovered grandchild had back air on full with vent closed

I am heading up to my Dealer in a few minutes and they are aware of issue and Hyundai has issued a repair bulliten to fix the noise...has to do with the cover trim between drivers door and rear passenger door plus a new seal for drivers window. Its a 2 step fix as you have to go in and have them confirm that there is a noise and then they order parts for your return visit..fully covered including loaner.

Follow up to wind noise fix....dealer is replacing based on tech bulletin from Hyundai that the noise is coming from the side pillar plastic.Dealer has replaced 3 cars to date and mine will be the 4th. TIP.....tell the dealer that the noise comes from BOTH sides ..passenger and driver (tip given to me by Service Mgr) otherwise you might be back a month later to fix the side they didn't do.

Yes they were able to fix all three vehicles. Will be having mine fixed in a few weeks once they get the parts in...warranty covered.

You would think the dealers would order several "kits" and have them on hand to fix the problem. Rather than ordering as needed.

As a comparison point to the three or four palisade TSBs, the current generation of MDX has had 49 TSBs issued

I am probably wrong ...but I feel their is more than one area that is causing wind noise. Hey who knows may Hyundai will come up with a full array of fixes and us Palisade owners will end up having super quiet interiors..

The palisade I reserved arrived, and had the sales manager test drive to make sure the wistle or windnoise is non existent before I go pick it up. he did and identified that between 40 to 50MPH there was wind noise but nothing above 70+. he is having the service department hard at work trying to fix it before i am supposed to get it. that is Thursday morning. Note the vehicle manufacture date was 12/02/2019. so even with recent builts the problem still exist.

the whole deal has been structure, the only thing would make it fall off is if the service department fails to fix the issue. glad i did my homework and got them to work on it before i even finish the purchase.

Interesting..my 11/27 build date is not perfect..but what is...the only wind noise we have heard is was is to be expected....maybe I should take another listen...but it seems as good or better than our 2016 Highlander ....

Not sure, i was hoping being such a late built, the noise would not have been there. but again i was not the one who checked it, it was the sales manager i just gave him the speed parameters. I also showed him this threat and he was thankful, he now will be proactively make sure all his dealers palisade get this fix before being sold.

mmmm car dealers..'nough said. And he knows nothing about this thread or wind noise issues...mmmm..

Finally have my Palisade back! Drove her up to 70 mph and no wind noise or whistle so far! I've attached the little bit of info from the service report. Will continue to update if noise is still gone or if it returns. This is definitely a manufacturer/engineering issue, and they are figuring out how to repair it. If this is the final fix that would be great because I love this car and it's features. Hate for something small to prevent others from purchasing..View attachment 460
thanks for the info. Just got our Palisade and will monitor this issue.

I just got my palisade limited 2 days ago, listened for the wind noise but didn't hear it. At least not yet.
My Palisade was held up at the port for near a month for them to do all the TSB's. Dealership says
they checked and the TSB was already done before it left port.

Good news for you. Can you tell us the other TSB that they preformed on your car ? Would like to share that with my dealer.

Just curious were the TSB's performed at the arrival port in United States or the destination port in korea?
