Pretty much the title. I’m still looking for SEL awd with 8 seats

If you are looking for a dealer in DC, Maryland, and Virginia area, contact Jonathan Brown at Safford Hyundai of Springfield. Direct: (571) 200-8976 Main: (703) 776-9040
I recently put a downpayment for a new Palisade Cali for MSRP. Good luck!

Thank you. I recently placed a deposit for an 8 seater SEL with a dealership in PA for MSRP. My car was delivered at Philly port yesterday, just waiting for the call from dealer.

Nice. I have to wait for 90-120 days I was told. what can I say? This is the first time I paid MSRP for any car. Crazy.

Wish you luck!
Some people have waited 1-2 months for Palisade to reach dealer after arriving in port.
I think most of them have been on the west coast.
Let us know how long it takes yours to get to dealer.

I tried to buy a mid-level Lariat F-150 truck yesterday for a friend in Utah, expecting to get at least a small discount (bought a Platinum 2 years ago at $10K below MSRP). NOPE. Not only dealers wanted $3 to $5K OVER MSRP. And at least one is tacking an extra $700 'loyalty' fee (all you get is a service booklet with 5% off their exorbitant rates), even for out-of-town buyers. It's downright insulting. Even though it wasn't for me, I'll never buy from that dealer. Crazy greed. Oh, and I didn't mention the MSRP price of that mid-level truck: A whopping $67,870. Geez. And you have King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited on top of that. My fully loaded/optioned Platinum was stickered at $65K, and paid $55K. A Limited is hitting $80K now. Ridiculous.

How long from order and down-payment did you see the car entered the port? We put an order in with a dealer almost 2 weeks ago and he said he still hasn't heard for Hyundai yet😳

There's no 'ordering' of Palisades. Dealer has to locate one for you, which is probably not very easy right now. So be patient :).

It could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. The cars are ordered well in advance by Hyundai Motor America from the factory in Korea, and are allocated to USA dealers. If a dealer wants a specific color and trim level for a customer, they can request one of those already ordered from the factory, but it depends on how many other dealers want the same combination.

Due to the fact that Hyundai has to obtain specific parts for each trim level, and specific colors for interior parts from vendors (most of that is outsourced), they have decide well in advance of how many of each trim level and interior color will be made for that model year. Changing exterior color is a little more flexible, because Hyundai does the paint job of the sheet metal in the factory, and can order different color paint, but they usually plan that also well in advance.

I got lucky. I found the exact model show up at the dealer website one fine morning and went down & placed a deposit within a couple of hours. That was 2.5 weeks ago.

Did they tell you how long until you get it?

I was initially told 2-3 weeks which would put it 2nd week of Nov. With reasonable confidence I was able to track the car to Philly port on 11/3. So hopefully sometime in the next 2 weeks for trip from port to dealer.
