Sharp edge on front doors

Has anyone else managed to gash your leg while getting out if the car and shutting the door? My Wife did it a week or so ago and then it happened to me too.
 
Yes, it happened to my wife several times. I thought she was crazy. Then it happened to me once. On one hand, I am surprised they are that sharp; on the other hand, I guess you should be more careful closing the door?

Well, yeah...I guess it only takes one gash in the calf to learn not to do that again...lol
 
Yep! Happened to me twice. Thank goodness I'm not the only one. Thought I was losing my sense of spatial awareness.
 
Yep, I've gashed my left leg on driver door, cut drew some good blood. That edge is way too sharp.
 
I'm not overly tall, but I am a little girthy. Maybe that keeps my legs away from sharp edges.

I haven't been bitten by the elusive Pali-snake, but apparently the bottom corner/ edge of the door will viciously attack if you stand too close when swinging the door.

I suppose my girthiness keeps me from being too close. I guess size does matter...
 
I’m on the other end of the spectrum (much less than girthy) and I haven’t gashed my leg yet. Passengers have all been spared up to this point too.
 
One would think that by now, someone would post a picture of the sharp edge.
 
There's a lot of pics of the carnage. Most of the ones I've seen have been in the Palisade facebook groups. There are two main Palisade groups on Facebook that I'm a member of. I still can't see how they do that. I can't remember the last time I hurt myself on a car door. Probably was when I was still in grade school
