Have the whistle plus other unreasonable noises also and that TSB looks like a new gasket for the mirrors. We will see how the kit works on whistle and all our noise issues whichever ones they might be on our individual vehicles.. Good luck all....

This noise sounds like a low pitched car horn going off next me as I drive. Took me a second to realize there were no cars near me when it happened. My CX-5 had bad wind noise coming in from the seal around the side windows from day one. I'll never own another Mazda due to the lack of effort on their part to fix it.

I just had my 2020 Palisade in for that horrible whistling noise under warranty. It was a kit for the mirrors. Test drove it on a windy day & it fixed the problem. Still have road & normal wind noise but no longer the high pitched whistling.
@Bonanza - same here. Dealer performed the TSB on my 2020 Palisade and also helped with the whistling sound. It has improved things a lot, but I agree, still has some normal road noise. It's at least bearable now.

It's not just "wind noise". It a loud high pitch whistling noise. There is a kit for the side mirrors that fixed the problem in my case.
Yeah, but it's a 2020, right? I just said that it shouldn't be an issue on 2021s, and that's what I'm trying to find out :). Just normal wind and road noise.

So it was noisy since new, or it started making noise after buying it? Just curious. I'm picking up mine tomorrow. Hope it has no issues, since it's 5 hours away. Plus don't want to mess with ANY dealer :).

Did not notice it the first 2 days. Maybe you can ask them about it when you pick it up to make sure it is secure.

Mine is really loud I recorded it on my phone that's how loud it is. Good luck let me know what your dealership says
Contact your dealer when I mentioned this to mine a few times just last week I was advised there is a kit that they can install under warranty to fix this issue I'm getting it done in a few weeks I can let the community know if it worked.

FYI... the fix works. Make sure you push for them to do BOTH sides (driver and passenger). They only did the driver on mine and now I have to push to get the other side done.

The TSB parts list shows 3 parts for LH Only and the 2 mirror parts for both sides. I believe most of the complaints have been for the drivers (LH) side but probably it is because it is the driver that is hearing these noises.

Why the wait...a few weeks...dealer should order the parts and have them on hand. Cheap fix,and thousands will want it..

I have to say wind noise is not an issue at all on my new silver/black Calligraphy. Drove it yesterday 300 miles home, up to speeds approaching triple digits, and the wind noise level is excellent, even approaching triple digits. However, wish Hyundai would have put nearly that much effort on road noise, which on rough asphalt, it's not terrible, but much louder than I wanted. Hopefully the crappy tires are to blame, but not sure quieter tires will make that much difference. We'll see in a few years, I guess. Not going to replace them now, as noise is still bearable. On smooth asphalt, the SUV is almost luxury quiet inside, so happy with that. Just wish there were better roads in this freaking area of the country (desert southwest).

Did it fix your wind noise? I just did a second 1500 mile trip see some accounts. Had the noise on the freeway in cross winds and whenever a big rig went by. Also, at 4000 miles I could hear noise coming in from the windows.

15k miles on my 2020 SEL, the overall sound insulation on this vehicle is for sure not comparable to a premium one (heard ppl are excited about Palisades over Q7, like wtf)
BUT, it's okay, nothing criminal, I can hear the wind outside on the highway but nothing is whistling or coming inside. I highly doubt any fix will make it a quieter experience, suppose it's meant for the whistling issue more than to improve the overall insulation.

For a 40-45k car it's perfect, for the up to 60k territory I would definitely look into something else, like MDX or GV80.

Just had my 2020 Limited with 32000 miles on it updated with the latest wind noise updates and it really stopped all air noise that you would here in a cross wind on both sides of the car!
